Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Greetings. It is a pleasure to write this newsletter to the saints at Immanuel's Church and beyond. I am very proud of our students and am indeed blessed to have dedicated and committed lecturers who are serving the Lord through their gifts of teaching. To you I say a heartfelt thank you. God bless you abundantly. |
I encourage those who are presently students of the institute to continue to learn and grow. The Lord is building you, and Jesus will walk with you every step of the way.
If you are not currently a student with us I encourage you to enroll in our programs. We continue to believe that apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, missionaries, intercessors, counselors, psalmists, church leaders and other ministerial gifts will be manifested among us, and God Almighty will receive all the glory, honor and praise.
This Fall we have a great line up of classes that are available.
Continue to pray for IBIN and the IBIN Committee, asking that God will keep us on the right path and that the will of God will be accomplished through us. I sincerely believe that the Holy Spirit is leading and guiding us as we proceed on this journey, and that the divine purpose of the Father will be completely manifested according to His timetable.
The Lord is able, gracious and faithful, and He will do it.
If you have any questions, feel free to call me on 301-559-8377.
Yours in the Lord's Vineyard,
Dr. Uzoma Opaigbeogu, Ph.D
Dean, Immanuel's Bible Institute of the Nations.

A TEACHER’S TESTIMONY
Are teachers born or made? In my previous 31 years of teaching students, ranging from the high school to the college level, the teacher was made. However, during a small but significant moment within those years, through a vision, I saw myself standing on a mountain, arms flung wide as if embracing all the people who resided in the houses that lay in the distance before me. In this vision, I heard God authoritatively say, “Instruct My people. This is My mandate to you.” At this point, the teacher was born, and with it the vision of one day teaching the principles of God’s Word. “Where there is no vision”, according to Prov. 29:18, “the people perish . . .” God-given vision carries the impetus that allows the vision-holder to press through obstacles and remain diligent in making decisions and associations in line with the shaping of his/her destiny. Vision is powerful!
What about you? Do you have a God-given vision? Could your vision also be the call to teach God’s Word? Teachers who are made gain great satisfaction from being a part of the learning process, especially when it results in success for their students. In an interactive setting, the teacher also benefits as well by becoming a learner. This is admirable for those in the teaching profession, and they are to be commended. Yet, equally noble is the joy that comes when sharing the truths of God’s Word. Revelation dawns, leading to the Bible student’s personal application and resulting in a life-changing experience. The teacher sees the momentous encounter and knows that for this he/she was born. Vision is awesome!
Fortunately, for me, the vision has manifested. What a privilege and honor to be given the opportunity to teach in IBIN/LOGOS Christian College. So, to all of you vision-holders, whatever your God-given vision, be encouraged and know this: that even though the vision will be tested and tried, may be delayed or seemingly died, it is “for an appointed time . . . and it will surely come, . . .”
(Hag. 2:3).
Kingdom Blessings,
Carol Griffith

STUDENT TESTIMONY IBIN has been a blessing to my life and ministry. I was looking for a Church that offered Bible courses for credit. I never had the chance to attend a seminary or Bible College and receive a degree. So, I was looking for something where I could commute and receive course credits towards a degree. Immanuel’s Church and IBIN have been a great blessing in allowing me to have the opportunity to achieve this desire. The courses offered have been very spiritually enriching and the staff is extremely helpful and kind. I am seeking to earn a Bachelors of Biblical Studies and I would recommend IBIN to anyone who is looking for excellent Spiritual and Biblical teaching plus the academic strength that IBIN offers.
