THE CERTIFICATE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES
Immanuel's School of Ministry serves as the ministry training program for Immanuel's Church. Ordination within Immanuel's Church requires the certificate of Biblical studies and Christian Ministry. Members of the church and the community at large are welcome to participate as well.
The following five courses are required for the Certificate of Biblical Studies:
-
A Firm Foundation—A practical study in the 40 most vital Christian doctrines, using Pastor Charles Schmitt’s book, A Firm Foundation
-
Through the Bible—An overview from Genesis to Revelation using a syllabus summarizing each book of the Bible
-
Church History—A study in 2,000 years of revival church history, using Pastor Charles Schmitt’s book, Floods upon the Dry Ground
- Hermeneutics—Lessons on how to study the Bible
The current ISOM course being taught “live” on Tuesday evenings at Immanuel’s Church (This class can be accessed on the Internet.)
